Monday 11/30/15

Beautiful sunrise over Silver Lake on my way to work.

Work flew by since we had two back-to-back 911 calls. We just happened to be driving right by the second call on our way back from the first call when the tone dropped, so our response time was quick. And this ended up being a serious call, so the timing was perfect. By the time we got back, we finished our reports, and then it was time to leave. It's so much better to be busy.

After work, I drove over to Lead Mine Rd for a run in the dark. I had a feeling I had overdone it the week before and should have taken a rest day. I didn't. I ran at a very slow pace, but it didn't matter. I knew halfway that this was a really bad move. I could feel pain in my injury. I ended up running 5.1 miles at 8:30/mi pace. I should have run 0.0 miles at 0:00/mi pace, but it is what it is. I knew I had a few days off coming. I guess I got too excited to be running again and went against my better judgement.

It's OK, though. Minor setback. I'll attempt something short and slow again in a few days.
