Monday 8/10/15

Monday ended up being an unplanned zero day due to the sprained ankle. By Sunday night, it was golfball-sized.

That's not a tan line. It's the light. And, yes, I need to fix the nail polish.

Monday, the ankle was just as swollen, but it didn't hurt at all, but I knew the right thing to do was to take Monday off from running. The smart thing to do would have been to rest it more than one day, but....

After work, instead of going for the usual run, I came home and walked the dogs up Heavenly Hill. It didn't bother me at all. Last time I did this, I had quite a bit of pain, so this was a good sign that it wasn't as bad as last time. It looked as bad, but it just didn't have that same feel as the last time.

After the walk, I showered and then headed up to the pub at the Inn at Crystal Lake. I had never been there before, but Don Fredrikson mentioned that he was going to movie night there for The Big Lebowski. Sounded like fun, and I love that movie, so I headed over there and joined Don, his wife, Sharon, and four of their friends. The place is very cute, and I really enjoyed it there. I didn't feel too badly about missing my run since I filled the void with something new and fun.
